Paul’s birthday

September 13th, 2004

Today is my brother Paul’s 24th birthday. So, happy birthday, Paul! James’ 16th birthday is only six days away as well.

I didn’t get a chance to update yesterday, so I’ll give you a rundown of what happened. In the morning, the four oldest went with Mom and Dad to Golden Corral up in Alton for breakfast. We had a fun time there, eating and talking. After that, we came back home and had our church service. Around noon, the older guys went back to the softball field portion of our land to practice with Dad. We had a brief defensive practice before we went back inside.

I turned on some sports, watching the Rams host the Cardinals in their first regular season game. The Rams won 17-10! It wasn’t the prettiest of games, but we won! I also watched some of the Giants/Eagles games, but the Eagles ran away with it, beating Kurt Warner and the Giants 31-17 or something. The Eagles are scary this year. While watching the Rams game, I would check up on the Expos/Braves game. Atlanta won in 12 innings, so that was great news! They’re getting closer and closer to clinching a playoff spot.

In the evening, I took Mary, Caleb and Peter to Great Grandma’s house to visit. Peter brought along a game called Lucky Ducks that we played with her, and we also played some Go Fish. It was nice to get to see her again, and I know the chubs had a good time. Grandma always has a little candy container stocked with M&M’s for the little guys so that’s a nice little bonus for them.

I need to get some scoping done. I’ll check back later!
