So ends another season
The 2004 MLB season for the Atlanta Braves came to an end today as they got creamed in Game Five by the Houston Astros. It’s disappointing that the Braves got knocked out in the first round yet again, but now I whole-heartedly am rooting for the Cardinals to make it to the World Series, as the NLCS begins in St. Louis on Wednesday.
Tonight we played at 7:30 and won 10-6 in seven innings. I didn’t do so well at the plate, batting 1-4 with a single. I had three fly-outs to left. Ah well… I bet I’ll do better tomorrow!
Today’s carb count is 31. I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be on this carb diet, but I think I’ll wait until Thursday to see if I’m still making progress. Again, this low-carb diet is not fun, but if the discipline pays off then I say it’s worth it. I do miss eating normal foods, though. I didn’t realize virtually everything was loaded with carbohydrates!
