In its first full day, FamTeam Today! is working out well! I posted a few times, once from my phone. The phone post was pretty fun, thinking that I can type away on my little phone and in seconds what I type will be published for the world to see! It’s amazing.

I haven’t mentioned the YMCA much recently. And the reason for that is I haven’t gone there recently. This week we picked up a cross-training machine, a rack of free weights and we assembled a multi-purpose weight machine that we have. All of this equipment is in the family room, and we now have a pretty good selection of exercise equipment. I figure I should be able to target most every muscle group here. It will be much easier than making that 20-minute drive to the Y!

I spent part of this evening fiddling with my MIDI ringtones. I downloaded some new MIDIs, including songs from Chris Tomlin and Casting Crowns. A problem I’ve been running into is that the volume is either too high or too low in the file, which means I play it back on the phone it will either be too low or distorted. So it’s been a bit of a job to seek out the offending MIDIs and tweak their volume settings. The ringer on my phone isn’t all too loud in and of itself, so a quiet tone wouldn’t be a smart idea. Yet, I don’t want it to be distorted. So there’s a definite balance. I think I finally achieved that on a few songs, one being Casting Crowns’ “Who Am I,” which is a terrific song, by the way. I’ll probably continue playing around with different MIDIs until I have 15 or 20 high-quality ringers on my phone. What’s kind of funny to think about is a ringer is simply intended to notify you that somebody is calling you. And now I’m spending time making songs my ringer… strange, huh?
