Another day in the books
I just realized that a lot of times I have too much going on in a given day that I have a hard time making myself stop and type it out. I guess that’s partly due to the fact that I’ve been on a pretty late schedule the past couple of weeks, and a lot of times sleeping is much more appealing than recounting the day’s event. So here are Thursday’s highlights. This morning, I went over to help my Aunt Ann move some stuff — file cabinets, boxes, etc. — from a storage garage to her office. After that, I ate lunch at Ryan’s Steakhouse. This afternoon, Mark and I ran a couple of errands, stopped by my Grandma and Grandpa Arndt’s house to drop off a floppy diskette drive, and then we set out for Fairview Heights. We went to Creve Couer Camera in order to check out the Digital Rebel and get some more info on it. From what we have learned so far, Mark and I are very much leaning on the DR, and I’m almost positive that we’ll be buying that camera. What an upgrade it would be!
After we left Creve Coeur, we drove back towards Belleville and decided to visit my 90-year-old Great-Grandma Arndt, who is currently staying in a nursing home as she is recovering from pneumonia. Before visiting, though, we stopped by Dairy Queen to buy her a fish sandwich with only cheese. She prefers that to the “mystery meat” that’s served at the nursing home.
I spent this evening fixing and tweaking a couple of things on the website. We briefly had a database problem, so I had to repair a table in the database, and now all is well. Ah, it’s so nice to have things running smoothly!
