Another day
And so ends another day of the trip. Today wasn’t all that eventful, but there were definitely highlights.
In the morning, Mark and I went over to the nearby activity center to play some pinball. There’s a machine based on Super Mario World, I think it is, and it’s a really fun game. So we played pinball for a while, wasting a few dollars, before we came back to the room here.
Paul and I went over to a nearby gym in the early afternoon. We played some racquetball for a little bit (which, by the way, I don’t know how to play. We just made up our own rules). After that, we did some weight-lifting — free weights, Nautilus machines and the like — and then did 20 minutes on the elliptical machine before we left. It sure was a nice feeling to get some real exercise after several days of pretty much holding still!
This evening, we hosted a family, the Seidenbergs, who we know from Rochester. They made the drive down, and we had a little party at the activity center. We ordered four large (and they were huge) pizzas from Pudgie’s here in Canandaigua, and we ended up with nearly a full pizza left over. We had a real good time talking with them and playing different games.
Unless I’m missing something, I think that pretty much covers the highlights of the day. Like I said, it wasn’t too eventful nor too busy. Just a pretty relaxing day. I think we have two more full days after today before we begin the 856-mile drive back home.
