Luke’s Notebook

Another thing we did tonight was have a bonfire in the back of our property. We had picked up some wooden pallets and gathered together cardboard, so we decided to have a fire. The chubs were very excited, as they were looking forward to roasting marshmallows and hot dogs.

Around 8:30 or 9:00, we went back there and started the fire. Once things got going, we started cooking the marshmallows and hot dogs. The little guys love cooking their own food over the fire. They were also putting together some s’mores while out there.

Later on, Paul gathered the chubs around and told them a story as they were all sitting around on logs. All in all, I think everyone had a terrific time, especially the little guys. I shot about 20 minutes of video footage while out there, so that will probably make for some Videos Of The Day in the near future.

By the way, I love our piece of property! Living back in a neighborhood a few years ago, we would never be able to have a bonfire, play softball or just have all this room to roam. It’s so awesome! God is so amazing. I’m so thankful that we have this incredible chunk of land!! Bonfires are pretty cool, too. A couple of years ago, there’d be no way that a few of us could just go outside and have a bonfire in our yard. Thank You, God, for our property!
