Two weeks from blast-off! Or lift-off! Or… drive-off!
Yesterday was a fairly typical Sunday, though in the afternoon Paul and I drove to a Catholic church in Madison, Illinois, to videotape a special Mass that they were holding. I wasn’t really all too eager to videotape something on a Sunday, but we were kind of doing them a favor in covering the service.
Today, Mark and I spent several hours working in the basement, where we laid down the rest of the carpet pad, cut it to size and glued it down to the concrete floor. It was the first time either of us had laid pad, and I’ve got to say I think we did an excellent job! The basement is looking great, and I expect it’s going to be just a wonderful gathering place for the Father’s House church services. We’re running out of things to do before it’s completely finished, so this is a really exciting time.
Well, as the subject indicates, it is only two weeks from the camping trip Mark and I are going on with our grandparents. Gosh! Before we know it, it will only be one week away. Then, we’ll be counting down the days. Yikes.
This evening, I typed out a list of a bunch of things I want to make sure to bring for the trip. I’ve got everything from my GPS, to my Bible, to my winter coat, to games, to… well, I’ve got a lot of things on the list! I probably won’t actually start packing for quite some time, but I want to leave enough time to remember anything that I may be forgetting.
By the way, tonight’s 8:30 softball game was rained out. I was going to sub for another team at 7:30, but obviously that game was washed out, tooo. We don’t have any other games scheduled this week, though I may play for my cousins’ team on Thursday. If not, then the next game is a week from today.
