Perfect evening for softball

October 11th, 2005

It was absolutely beautiful this evening! It must have been in the low 60’s, and it was a very clear night. There was a slight chill in the air, but once you get into the game, you don’t feel it.

We played against Sullivan’s tonight at 8:30. Our offense continued to produce, and we won 14-6, I believe the final score was. I batted 3-4 with three doubles, driving in four runs total. My batting average is up to .536, which is the highest it’s been since the beginning of the season. Last year, I finished with a .540 average, so it’s very encouraging to be approaching mark!

There are only so many weeks of softball remaining. Barring rainouts, I think we’re down to four more weeks or so before we finish until April of 2006. By that time, Seth, who will turn 14 on Christmas Day, may have joined our team. In the men’s league that we play in, you have to be at least 14 in order to play, so that has always been the much-anticipated age, where all of a sudden you get called up to the “big leagues.” :)

I uploaded another photo into my photo gallery. It’s a second photo from the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The colors are so vivid; I had to put it up!
