RSS!
I have been spending a bit of time today working on creating an RSS feed for my blog. What is an RSS feed? What is RSS? Good questions.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. I’m still scratching the surface on it all, but from what I understand, RSS is a way for people to kind of follow a certain site, getting notified when it updates, without having to manually visit the site to check.
So what does this mean for you? Well, if you’re a Firefox user, try clicking on that little orange and white button on the bottom status bar. It should allow you to add a Live Bookmark for this blog. After adding that, I believe you will be able to see my latest entry, or at least the subject of it, from your Firefox bookmark.
Give it a shot! Please let me know how (or if) it works for you. Also, if you have any suggestions, I am wide open to hearing them. I’m very new to the RSS/syndication thing, so I might be overlooking some obvious things.
Hope you enjoy!
