Oops… I usually make an effort to make a post at the beginning of each month, or else this little problem occurs. I really ought to fix that, anyway.
Yesterday, we got a lot of work done around the house. I spent several hours staining the back deck, James spent all day working on the new dining room table that he’s building, and John, Mark, and Jude worked on a concrete pad that we’re pouring in our back yard.
We’re hosting a 4th of July party, so it seemed like a good time to take care of these various tasks around the house. I was a very hot day (96 or 97 degrees), and I walked away from the deck-staining job with a big sunburnt patch on my back. I… guess my arms aren’t as long as I thought.
Oh well.
Yesterday, Mom, Dad, and Paul went over to Busch Stadium to do some more work for the upcoming Softball Classic. They interviewed Royals second baseman Mark Grudzielanek, who was one of the three Cardinal players at last year’s Classic. I think they’re planning to interview Reggie Sanders this afternoon over at the ballpark, so that would be neat!
By the way, you may or may not notice that this is one of the first posts in a long time that’s not cross-posted onto Xanga. It’s not a mistake.
I’m just sorting some things out.
