RICK

Rick, known as “Dad,” grew up dreaming of playing ball for his local St. Louis Cardinals. Though he didn’t quite make the team, God gave him one of his own. A Civil War enthusiast, he and Cathy (Mom) have visited dozens of battle sites and delved into many firsthand accounts and diaries written during the Battle Between the States. A skilled writer himself, Rick has penned several books, including three interviewing Christian athletes about their faith. Dad has a particular love for Fall foliage and snow in the Finger Lakes area of upstate New York!

Rick has a knack for looking at an untouched piece of land and seeing how it may be sculpted for future use. He can often be seen behind the wheel of a tractor, digging ponds, trimming trees, and shaping slopes.
